1st 60 miles with b16. (some issues) kind of long
Car is 1991 crx with 1st gen b16
car is a freaking dog when its cold. Any ideas?
Flat spot between 4-5k. Car falls on its face then all of a sudden it kind of surges and were into vtec. Everything feels good above 5k. Is this TPS related? Wouldnt it throw a code? If so can I use a d16a6 or d16z6 one?
Occassional smoke when in vtec or shifting at 7.5-8k Seems to be going away today. Hopefully not rings. I did just top the oil off before I noticed this. Its Possible I topped it off on uneven ground and got too much in there. Is it normal to smoke for a while after the swap? This is the furthest I've driven the car at one time. The headgasket, valve seals, and valve guides were all replaced. That leaves rings and running rich right? Hopefully the latter.
Tailpipe got really black really fast. My d16a6 used to run a little rich, so the blackened tailpipe was nothing new. I cleaned it out and am observing closely. I did however use the stock FPR of my d16a6. Any possibility its bad and would cause it to run rich?
Thanks for any help with these issues. Its very appreciated

Could be TPS...could be the ecu...could also be the *breaking in* period of the motor actually running again...
after all, the motor WAS sitting there for YEARS not running with crappy oil and such.
