1995 Civic with B18B swap PR4 ECU and I'm getting Code 12 EGR Lift Valve
As the title states, I have a CEL after my swap and don't know how to fix it. Apparently no Integras came with EGRs so I'm wondering why the computer is confused. I'm sure people have run into this before--how can I fix it?

I thought the auto ECU wouldn't work with a manual?

if you have a pr4 ecu and a egr code it is a auto ecu.from a 92-93 integra.

The car is a 1995 Civic, but the motor is a LS from a 1997 Integra. My Ecu is an OBD1 PR4.

Get the ecu chipped with a upgraded LS basemap and you should be good to go.

The shop that I purchased the engine from is willing to "fix" the ECU. Is this safe or normal?

how are they going to fix it?the only right way would be to chip it and tune it.

I don't know. He said he could remove some stuff and put in a diode or something. Honestly, I didn't press him for info. I'm still debating getting another ECU.
