Default 1994 Civic Si swap to what?

Hey everyone,
I have a 1994 Black Civic Si Hatch, there are about 85k miles on my 1.6 D16z6 VTEC, it runs pretty good, but i wouldnt mind more power, and the thought of turbo charging a SOHC 1.6litre 4 cylinder doesnt seem right. I like the whole "Si" image, so i was wondering what people thought I should possibly swap into it, and how much it will cost. I want a DOHC VTEC but i wouldnt mind 1.6 or 1.8, but no H22's, i want to be anble to fit my hand into the enginebay. So should I go with a US B16 or B18 gsr engine or should i go with something like a b16a2 or 3 or somthing eles from japan?, i have no idea, is this a really big expensive mod?, I know it will be a few thousand (4 or 5), but what goes along with this stuff?
Any help is apreciated.

Depends on how much you are wanting to spend. I am going with a USDM GSR in my 93 Cx which is probably going to run me close to 4k with LSD from IAS (Import Auto Salvage).

B16's lack torque which is why I am going with a GSR

Thanks, i think those links will be helpful.

There is somthing I like about the USDM b16(somthing) ..... the 1999-2000 Civic Si engine... i heard if i get a like a b18c1 or somthing and get a b16 head, i will get huge torque, is this true?
