1/4 mile times for B18c1 hybrid CX hatchback inside. I'm pretty happy.
Hey All:
Just got back from the track with my CX. Didn't break anything, ran pretty well too.
The car has a stock B18c1 and GSR trans, Comptech header, 5Zigen cat-back, AEM ram air intake, 16" Konig wheels with Nitto NT555s (not 555R drag radials).
The car has a full interior, but I did remove the spare tire and jack.
Check it out:
60ft 2.067
330ft 5.968
594ft 8.610
1/8 ET 9.200
1/8 MPH 76.29
1000' 11.976
1/4 ET 14.352
1/4 MPH 94.28
I really wanted to get into the 13s with the car as it sat, but I don't think that is going to happen. It probably has a tenth or two left in it as it sits (If I got a good tach and monkeyed with the fuel pressure). I ran these times without cooling the car very well or pushing it through the staging lanes.
I have a '98 type R trans coming (theoretically anyways), and I really want to break into the 13s with that thing without changing anything else.

What did you launch at? I'm just curious cause I had to launch my car at 6K or else it would bog like hell. They are just cheap tires of 14s. Is something wrong with my car or is this normal? My 60' was 2.292 and 1/8 mile was 9.51

Hey:
I launched at 5K, and I was still having a little bit of bog. When I get my aluminum flywheel, I'll probably have to launch at 8K or something, LOL.
These runs were at US41 in Indiana.

ur trap speed should b higher, u should b breaking a faster trap speed. its hard to believe that u ran 2.0 60s on 555 tires. best bang for the buck to get u into the 13s is goin to b the drag tires. u can launch higher and not worry about wheelspin.

nice times... i hope i get similar times soon. just for the heck of it i will bring it to the drag strip. my set up will be a B18C1, CM 9.5 flywheel, skunk2 manifold, ITR cams, FF special chipped ecu and a Field's vtec controller all in a 94 CX. hopefully i can find a JDM ITR exhaust manifold too. i'm swapping this weekend. Wish me luck...

US 41 Dragway:

Its kind of a haul for me, but the track hooks really well, and if you get there early, you can get all the runs you want.

Nice times, especially considering you had full interior. What elevation were you at?

Good Runs!! i ran the same time 14.3@98mph ur trap speeds are kinda low for that time..which means u had a good 60' ft...my launch was horrible..yea 14.3 is just a start ull be pullin 13s easily with a couple more mods.

Excellent. I have always desired mad skills.
Everyone saying I have a low trap speed makes me wonder if I am letting off before the mph trap (it isn't marked very well) or if my car isn't pulling very hard on the top end.

Damn, that's almost identical to my car mph wise, but I had a lower ET with a much shittier 60ft...that makes no sense.
I have a 95DX with a b18c1. JDM DC header, AEM intake, Custom exhaust. I was on 15" wheels w/ shitty tires. I ran 14.1@99. No spare or passenger seat, but everything else.

Hey:
I must be letting off the gas before the mph trap, or maybe its got something to do with the fact that I have to shift into 4th so close to the finish line.
Maxboost: I'm guessing you have a 13 second car there, if you can hook it up.
There was another hybrid at the track, almost identical to mine, but he was running a tenth quicker. I now wish I would have compared his mph to mine.

its because his car weighs less.
gsr's have the same trap speeds but run high 14's low 15's

You said you are going to have to launch HIGHER with a lightened flywheel? I would n't go too crazy I had the Clutchmasters 11lb flywheel and I couldn't hook up worth a ****.
