Well im having some axle trouble.
The first passenger side axle i got was 90-93 integra. Fit fine, well when i put the motor in the car, i raised it up a good 3 inches from where i had it(which was on the locks). Once i got the car running i wanted to lower it some because it had plenty of ground clearance on the oil pan. About that time the axles started popping and I thought it was a junk axle. It kept popping out of the tranny
Well i took it back, exchanged it and raised my car up. everything is fine.
Well today i decided i wanted to try to lower it back down agian, so i did and the popping came back.
Raised the car back up and its fine.
So obviously the problem is the axle is binding.
Well the ride height is ridiculously high, a good 2 inches of fender gap. I want to lower it an inch or so.
Is there a longer axle i can try, any ides?
anyone else's car have this problem......?

no i havent tried anything but the integra axle..
I guess i could try it with a prelude inner...
I thought the 89 teg was shorter?

Which is a better shifter assembly? as far as lightness, fitment, shifter feel?
The prelude or accord shifter? This is what hasport used in there project integra, I think its an early 90's accord shifter but correct me if im wrong:

The yellow mounts are Place Racing mounts. With the HCP mounts, it's recommended to use either the 92+ Prelude shifter & linkage or the 94+ Accord shifter & linkage. The 90-93 Accord shifter & linkage doesn't want to work well in the Civics/Integras.

They are nasty. I need to paint them or something
They seem ok other than the tranny mount, its junk

Is this something you learned through experience or through the grape vine? What are secific issues with using the 90-93 accord linkage? What does Hasport recommend using?

Q:
Which mount kit will give me the most clearance between the inmanifold and the firewall?
Q:
Which mount kit keeps the axles the straightest?

The HCP takes this one.
of course this is only my opinion.

FYI guys. I am using the 91 Accord linkage and shifter without any problems. Of course with the bulkier accord shifter the panel does not sit flush but that is nothing a lil trimming cant fix...
As for brake setup an all around GSR setup would work great. I am using that along with a fastbrakes upgrade kit though for the front and back along with stainless lines, 15/16 master cylinder from an RS integra and 40/40 prop valve and the car stops very balanced..

If anyone of you guys have a 94+ integra axle laying around, im trying to pick out which cv joint it is out of this pile of axles.
I need to know some measurements
This is the drivers side outer cv joint, dont think it matters which side though
Need to know the diameter of the body
The length of the joint
the length of the spindle area
and the lenght of the grooved portion on the spindle area
Thanks

Re: (tHIS oNE)
I am also having axle problems with a lowered car- 96 H22 hatch. i am using the 89 teg axles with accord int. shaft, but want to try the Prelude inner joints to see if that'll free up some room- My question is which prelude can i use as a donor? I'm htinking 92-96, but does it matter as far as h22 or h23? it seems like those axles are the same. whatcha guys using? Thanks!
PS, it's been a while since i've posted- Glad to be back!
