I'm running a P28 with Hondata S300 and a wideband. Which ever your local tuner prefers is the best choice.

Newbee, a quick parts list should be as follows

Balance Shaft delete from Kaizenspeed
H2B kit
H2B header
Engine/trans mounts (B series I believe?)
Assuming you'd be going OBD1 like most....
OBD1 ECU (p28 or p72) with a tuning solution (Chrome, or Hondata….I'd vouche for Hondata)
OBD1 Alternator (I'm using a B series alternator as QSD recommends with their kit)
OBD1 Distributor (td60u)
High impedance injectors
Anything you want to do on the transmission side is all B series from the flywheel on out.

I think that should be a good start. If you're H23a, you already have the single row pulley. You may also need to get the QSD alternator relocation bracket but depending on which H2B kit you choose, you may not need it.

And COOP I've been really broke the last year as the result of switching careers, but overtime is coming soon so I'll be able to save a few pennies. Looking at head packages next.

Pretty much any Tri-Y header is gonna make some good power. More you spend, better quality you'll get.

@h2bh23 did you check with Myers about repairing the header?

Highend Autosport sells the Logic budget H2B header, plenty have made power with it.

Whitfield also makes a H2B header.

Should be around 230whp now. Haven't had a chance to hit the dyno since I just swapped everything over and am still not "ready". I do street tuning every day on my commute to work and back though, so I'm pretty happy. The VTEC Cam timing curve is really all that needs refined at this point.

Yes. He told me it's not repairable. It is really old. Some how when I left the track, every runner was cracked pretty much all the way around. Now the flange is still on the head and the header is in the car. I'm looking for a header that will allow 300whp. Planning on changing a few thing so trying to buy the best bang for the buck.

I'm looking at the 1320 hood exit v.2 or the whitfeild header. If anyone has any input on them two to lead me in the right direction, I'm all open. I've been looking but the stuff I'm reading is so old I dont kniw if they've changed designs or anything.

Buy a Brough Performance v.5 swap kit and at least a Stage 2 Clutch and you'll be good to go. All the OBD2 stuff converts pretty easily to OBD1 and you could pick up a Hondata s300v3 P28 ECU to operate it all properly.

@skiguide13 You better ask Brough if the ATTS block will work.

According to QSD you need to weld on to the block.

I'm building a MONSTER H23 VTEC setup.

Sleeved Block, Rods, Pistons, CNC Head, Huge Cams, etc.

This is going to be a wild ride.

Definitely.

Take the time to do all your seals, timing belt, water pump, etc. It's a chore.

Has anyone had success fitting an ATI Harmonic Balancer (#918468) to their H2B swap in an EG/DC2 without running into frame clearance?

Does anyone have dimensions of this part vs. the OEM in mounting depth added to crank?

Cheers,

-Ryan

I'm not sure how EG/DC clearance is for frame rails but I had to shave a .25" off the inside of my Euro R pulley to give some room in a EF.

Are you able to cut and box the frame for more room?

I'm almost positive the EG/DC chassis has more room for pulley than the EF. Sadly, no, this is my street car and I refuse to spend that amount of fabrication time to do it correctly if that's the case. I'll simply stay OEM Single Pulley (that has room on this chassis) and run less RPM.

I appreciate the insight, Bently_Coop!

How much space do you currently have between the pulley and frame rail?
