**NEED HELP INDENTIFYING SOHC VTEC HEAD**
I just recently bought a built vtec head. Seller claimed it was a y8 but it is stamped p08-6. I thought I was a z6 but the stampings dont end with -6. Any help is appriciated.

It's a z6 head. The -6 is which cast it came from. If your worried about it post pics of the intake ports and I can confirm for sure. |

Why did you post this in multiple sections ??? The head is a D16Z6 or a similar head from a foreign market. Is there something more specific that you need to know ???

Looks like a z6 to me. If you can post a pic showing the intake port divider I could say for sure but definitely looks like a z6 from the combustion chamber. |

Just look at the circular combustion chamber. D16z6 are round while D16y8 are round on the sides but flat on top/bottom. That's an easy way to tell, even without looking for the manufacturing date stamp.
