*****BASE RSX w/ K20A TypeR swap*****
Looking for some help. I've got a base RSX that has a K20A swap in it. Car cranks & starts on the JDM ECU but something's not right at all. Car won't rev over 4500rpms and the MIL light comes on while idle but then goes off. ***** crazy weird. I've got a KPRO for the car and when I put the KPRO in NOTHING happens. HONDATA's telling me its a ground issue but I'm thinking it could be in the harness. The car has the JDM wiring harness on it, and as far as I could tell it was completely plug & play. I'm wondering if I need to put the factory base harness back on. If anyone could help sheid some light on this that would be great. Anything to help get this car running!

what year is your base RSX?
if its an '05 a handful of the wiring pinouts are different than the 02-04 RSX's...

Yep with a RSX type-S base map it thru a secondary runner code and thats it. So I turned it off and cleared the codes but the car runs like ****. There is some drivablity but car has no ***. Just flat no power bearly runs.
What base map are people starting the K20A motors on with KPRO. Now here another tid-bit...car runs just as bad with the JDM K20A ECU too. I'm thinking something is still not right.

well, with hybrid swaps and a KPRO ecu normally the K20A2 Type-S KAL w/intake/header/ITR cams/exhaust. you might want to try disabling the OBD2 crap......but I'm not sure if an RSX needs the OBD2 stuff enabled or not....try it out and see what happens, shouldn't hurt anything.

Guys running K20A (JDM R MOTORS) in EGs' & EKs' what harnesses are being used?? JDM harness or US type-s?? Or ****..does anyone know if they are the same just RHD & LHD????
