Default $50 TO ANYONE WHO CAN GET MY CAR RUNNING

Ok Guys here it goes... 97' EK LS swap

Fuel Pump Will Not Prime and Main Relay Clicks..
-Replaced Main Relay, and tested it, tested in working order.

-Thermostat has good ground

-reading 12V when i tested the power to the fuel pump.

-Replaced Fuel Pump

-Tested 3 different ECU''s...OBD2A(stock)..OBD1 Ecu w/ jumper harness, and OBD2 ECU from a DC2. (I also hooked my OBD1 ECU w/ the jumper harness up to his car and it worked perfectly)

-I tested the pin that powers the fuel pump (Plug A ,pin 16) by hooking a wire from the pin to the fuel pump wire green/yellow to power it directly in case there's a break in the line.

-Checked Fuses that were Necessary.

-I am using an OBD1 dizzy wired to OBD2 (not sure if that matters)

I've Still got Nothing guys.

Please HELP ASAP I NEED THIS RUNNING TONIGHT

- does it crank @ all??
- did you check for spark?
- are all your injectors getting fuel?
- is your timming correct @ TDC?

check all these things first.

had the exact same problem in my ek hatch.....take off all your grounds, and resurface the area's under them, then re-bolt them down....did that to mine, and cranked up fine, and has ever since. also check the ground wires...i had a bad one on mine.

Hey, i ran an auxillary switch..the timing is correct, it cranks, and its now getting fuel to the injectors....but the motor isnt starting a friend insisted on the fact that the ecu is too small for this engine.

Is ur dizzy wired up correctly? Obd1 dizzys have some of the sensors in the dizzy where as an obd2 dizzy doesn't, it has em in the engine, like the TPC sensor and CYP I think. So make sure it's wired correctly or maybe swap it with an obd2 dizzy.

hummm....so it will fire up then die?....I was gonna say check your ECU fuse under the hood....but I'm kinda stumped....cause if your fuel pump isn't priming then it would only crank and start up then die like the first 2 times...after that it wouldn't crank....Check your ECU fuse...it will cause the same problems as a bad main relay.

have you checked to see if you have fuel pressure at the rail??

if you do have fuel pressure and you've checked the injectors to make sure they are firing (there's little clip like injector lights you can toss on them to see if they are clicking correctly).

AND you say you have spark...then it should crank.

toss a spritz of starting fluid in the intact track and see if you can get it to crank up for a second or not.

I'm leaning to the dizzy being blown out personally.

we had an accord that we could get to "slightly catch" and want to crank but wouldnt and it even had spark too. we swapped the dizzy out and it cranked right up. turned out that even though it had spark, the ignitor was blown out and it was just a weak *** spark

i have an extra ignitor so i might try that out...the more i charged the battery the closer it got to starting and starting fluid helped so much

you might want to try swapping the dizzy out as well if the ignitor swap doesnt work. the ignitor can screw up the internals as well when it goes out.

Take a hammer and knock on the starter a couple of times and try to start it. Maybe bad starter.

i just put my motor together and was in the same seat. my problem was one ground that wasnt connected. the ground came from the wiring harness and installed on the top of the starter. make sure the one from the tranny, valve cover and block are all installed too

oh yeah, another thing with mine. i actually added another ground wire from the chassis to the starter. it actually seemed to help some, and gave it some better ohm readings.

another thing i would try is something simple, reset the ECU....just a possibility, another thing is the group of ground wires under the driver side dash, up by the firewall hole that your relay wires come out of, about the clutch pedal. check to make sure you have a good connection there. I know when i was messing with that, it was making my main relay go crazy and clicking like crazy...i twisted it around some, and tightened it down good, when i was going through all my grounds. that may be one that makes the connection better, because i know some of the grounds for it, are from the main relay. I went through this same b/s with mine...didn't drive my car for a week, drove me crazy the entire time, not being about to figure out what was wrong with it. let me know if that is any help. I'll try my best.

do this...I read in the first post that you checked all the nessesary fuses....go under your dash and pull every fuse one at a time and check each one....There is one called ACG if i remeber correctly...i blew that one and had similar problems....but check every fuse cause sometimes you just overlook the simplist thing.

yeah, i tried changing out the main relay and it was still doing the same. i found that set of ground wires for all the fuse relays on the driver side.
