"No-Tek" hybrid engine build, first in the world??
My mates & I have built up a really stupid hybrid of b series parts
We got a b16 bottom end & a b20 head (the bits left over after a b20vtec build) skimmed a huge amount off the head & with a few little bits & bobs (i'll do a write up once its running right!) bolted it together.
We have a problem with the PCV system/oil useage tho
It has really healthy compression with all pistons being around 240/245psi
Its popped the cam oil seal out tho they where well sealed with honda bond whilst I was building the engine.
It also smokes way way too much now we can only think its something to do with the PCV (which would explane the oil seal popping as well)
For now we ran the stock b16 pcv system (from the block) bar the guy that first put the parts together used a one way valve from the brake servo as he snapped the stock b16 part & the stock b20 pcv from the head with the breather from the cam cover running to the intake pipe pre TB as per stock.
Does anyone know of this engine being built before?
If so did they have the same problems?
Does anyone think the one way valve from the brake servo may stop the pcv system working on the bottom end?
Thanks in advance
BillB

Congratulations. You officially have the worst performing 1.6 liter B-series engine in the world.
