No it didn't. Still sitting with the current owner I believe.

I thought all CR's came standard with black hardtops?

Financing? What exactly is Blue Book on a 15 year old Honda? My guess is he was expecting to finance more than half of the sale price, and no ******* way is any reputable lending institution going to do that when the amount being financed is more than double the BB value.

Heads up, 2008 wasn't 15 years ago.

10 year old Honda then. Point is, 7 years is kind of the ceiling for a conventional auto loan in most cases, so bringing a hefty amount of cash up front in the case of a car that carries a collectors premium is a given.

Drove an S2000 for 7 years, autocrossed/tracked it.

Wouldn't pay the asking for that car.

The limited production number accounts for the price difference, @crazyhorse2011 The car itself is 99% the same as as base s2000. Most of the 'differences' are cosmetic (and minor at that).

It's definitely more than 1% different and the differences are not cosmetic...

haha I said mostly cosmetic (lip, hardtop, lack of soft top, seats, spoiler, wheels). The suspension is different but not something that any regular s2000 owner would ever want to upgrade to (just about any aftermarket suspension is an upgrade to the CR suspension). What percentage difference would you assign?

Yes. 6 s2000s to date. I'm herecomesboost on s2ki

- Front Bumper (holes for the lip)
- Front Lip
- Clear Sidemarkers
- Black "S2000" and "CR" fender emblems
- Steering Rack
- Steering Rack stiffeners
- Front Sway Bar
- Front Shocks + Springs
- Wheels (AP2v3 painted Kaiser Silver) + Lug nuts (black)
- Cluster (yellow marks + shift indicator)
- Interior trim (carbon yellow/black on Radio door + Center console + cupholders)
- Steering wheel (yellow stitch)
- Shift ****
- Shift boot
- Seats (alcantara + yellow/black center weave)
- Door panels (alcantara + yellow stitch)
- Rear tonneau / soft top delete
- Rear chassis brace (below tonneau)
- Tire inflator kit (no spare tire)
- Rear trunk (extra bracing)
- Rear wing
- Exhaust (different mufflers)
- Rear sway bar
- Rear suspension
- Hardtop (included)

Think that's most of it off the top of my head. Then you've also got the AC/Radio Delete option ones.

Yeah I mean the CR is not $50k better than any other S2000.

But dorks that want the limited thing will always want the limited thing. Hype beasts gonna hype beast.

I'll stick to my $8500 clean title, clean history AP1.

Ah, I recognize that name.

Ignoring the definite cosmetic stuff (pretty much all the interior bits) you've still got the hardtop, tonneau, steering rack, suspension, that mid-brace, the trunk/wing, and the front lip. That's gotta be more like 10% of actual stuff that's different between a standard 2009 S2000 and a 2009 CR if you have them side by side.

And as much as I would love an ABP CR I don't think I'd pay the premium for one.

It's ALOT different. Well, I'd say 15% at highest but it's substantial enough to make a difference.

s2ki, have not been there in years.
