its not the cost of the parts, its the teardown/rebuild time. if I was gonna take the time to do that again, I wouldn't do it to a d16 -- and this is coming from someone who used to have a 440hp d16z6.

I mean yeah to do it right but how many guys get a z6 block, throw some 75mm pistons into it with a garbage hone, clearance the block for rods, and hang a snail off the front and make 350+?

There was a dudes build here I followed that did just that.
He was beating GTRs with only ~400hp and some damn good driving. Dude blew the transmission and I think ended up getting a gsr Integra. He stopped updating his build though.
