I'm thinking about selling my Type R and getting an S2000 because I miss the whole vert action (Had Mustangs prior to going import)..I figure I could get about $22k for my Type R here in So Cal so what would a S2000 go for? Needs to still be under warranty so I can buy the extended warranty

What years are the best? Any problem years? Thanks

My friend sold his '00 red S2000 w/ 26k miles for $26,500. That's in PA though, in Cali you'll probably pay $26-$32k depending on condition and mileage. I wouldn't spend anymore than $30k for a used S2000, any more than that and you're getting ripped off IMO. MSRP is $32,840 for the 2002's.

My roomie bought his 2000 S2000 for $28,000. It had 7500 miles on it, and EVERY factory option you could wish for. (front spoiler, air deflector between seats, rear spoiler, etc.)

I was driving through a nice town here that is north of Milwaukee (Whitefish Bay) and saw a red '00 for sale. Jumped out of my car and peeked in (I wasn't TRULY interested in buying one, but they look so nice), looked it over really quick, and the owner came out of his house. He was the only owner, 11k miles and he was asking $24k and it 'looked' like it was kept inside and taken care of. Anywho, I was shocked! Look hard and you can find a deal I suppose.

Here in South FL I came upon a used ( 1,500 miles) 2001; grey with black for 29,975 asking price. I could have bought it for about $28,000. Should have jumped on it... it was gone that afternoon. The 2002 has glass rear window; update shifting on trans and an updated stereo. Good luck.

I was thinking of getting an S2000 or just using the money for college, I would be in debt if I got one but they are very sweet

I'm in college, just depends on where I transfer to to complete my degree..I'm at a JC right now

Might get college paid for by my job, if thats the case then I can afford a S2k, if not I'll have to pay for the majority of it
