trunk 3rd brake light
Hi there, i have found that the 3rd brake light on the trunk seem to be different from 2000-2003 then other one, Mine is cracked, can i still install a 2005 one on my trunk? since they list the carbon trunk to fit all year, i expect that the brake light still gonna fit even if the part # is different?

edit: i think the pins are different, cant remeber though. i just had this convorsation with a friend like 2 months ago, i'll ask him and see. |
Re: trunk 3rd brake light (SwampThing)
I'm pretty sure the brake lights are the same across the years, my current rear brake light is off an AP2 and it plugged/bolted without any drama.

Mine was cracked when I picked it up brand new from the dealer. It was replaced immediately. It also cracked slightly when I closed the trunk one day about 2 weeks later. Must be very fragile. They replaced it when the front end was repaired by insurance. I just try to be very careful with it now. No problems for over 1 year now. |

When I had an s2000 I bought my CF trunk from a guy with an AP2, mine was an AP1. Both of our 3rd brake lights fit with no issue...they should be the same. Hope this helps.
