DD mine everyday! But I'm also a bit of a loner and withing the S2000 height and weight requirement (no tilt steering) so it was the perfect car for me!
I have a beater but I find it hard not to drive my S everyday cause its just so smooth and comfy for me IMO

Re: So how much of a burden is it using an S2000 as a "daily driver"? (Mr. Projekt)
So I'm looking into getting a 2002 S2k soon, finally retiring my 1988 Prelude 2.0Si 4WS.
After reading this thread it seems that switching out shouldn't be too bad - the only big complaint was lack of torque. Now, coming from an 88 Prelude, am I honestly going to feel like I'm losing any low end?? lol
Also, how bad is the lack of trunk space? to a single 22 year old guy I mean. Be honest!

lmao...coming from an 88 prelude, you're going to feel like you're driving a monster truck, the S2000 has low torque compared to the other sports cars in its class...it doesnt mean it has NO torque, its light and has a peeky powerband, the only time you'll notice the lack of low end power is honestly at times when you probobly wont miss it anyways.

Re: So how much of a burden is it using an S2000 as a "daily driver"? (hypnosisracing)
lol thanks for the explanation
My Prelude does fine for a non-VTEC with all the work I've done to it, but I doubt it's putting more than 140hp and 130tq to the wheels even WITH all my mods (CAI, staged header, full 2.5" crush-bent exhaust, B18 intake cam, ported N polished IM, 60mm TB [it has 55mm stock], high-flow cat, etc).
I mean, sure it's got a 2.0 but OEM new specs were 135 horse and 127 torque.
The F20C makes what, 240 horse and 150ish torque?
Truthfully that was my only concern - The old Prelude supposedly makes peak torque at 4000 on the dot, and I just didn't want to feel like my 'new' $15,000 nice car was less ballsy below that RPM.

I can imagine the S2k to drive somwhat similarly to my type-R. At low rpms, it feels like a civic, but its not that bad cause the revs come so fast that youll be hitting 80 in no time and have to slow down.
