I just rebuilt my head and I started it only to hear this... any idea what it could be?

If its TCT, then you forgot to pull the pin, or somethings missing.
I believe its your valve adjustment... way off, valves left loose or done wrong.

oh wow? could have been an accident or done on purpose. There are ******** outthere that will sabotage a build like that.
