Default Rear weather stripping prone to rust like integras?

There was big talk that the rear quarter panel weather stripping was causing integras to get rust, is this the same with the S?

i still have mine on.

along the fender well, sometimes dealers add "fender trim" ruber piece that lines the fender well. You should pull it off because water can get trapped there and over time it will cause rust...

from what i can tell, tehy don't put them on s2ks so you'll need not to worry. but if you do have them, just pull them off.

I rolled my fenders and still left mine on to keep the sharp edges covered.

See this is a really good question... because I was under the impression that taking them off stops the rust from forming.. but now im wondering if it protects the car?

Reason being is my sister has an RSX from 2002.. it has seen michigan winters and now on the inside of that metal tab of the rear fenders there is some of that surface rust forming.. like just the orangish colored stuff that you can scrape off with your fingernail... RSX's do NOT have this rubber strip on them stock.... so I really dont know.

WTF guys.
