For PWJDM PowerCamber Users
Hello folks.
I was using a HPS cold air intake kit with my '08 S but wasn't so satisfied with it , thus I purchased a Password JDM Powerchamber intake kit today. It was a pain to install this piece of art and I'm really shocked to see that there are many flaws with this particular kit.I need advice/comments from owners of this kit about these problems;
1. Firstly the Ram air part (the thing goes down below the bumper to front grille) hits the hood when hood is closed; we tried everything to overcome this but it hits no matter what we tried. The hood closes but both the hood and the part gets damaged each minute I drive. I came home after about 40 miles of driving and the hood was worn off from the point it touches the part. Is this normal?
2. I was driving home and it started to rain suddenly. On the highway other cars splashes water and the front opening is so big/low that it is soaked. It was a 10 minute drive; but should I avoid driving in rainy conditions? would it suck in water?
3. About a week ago I purchased a "Password JDM front upper tower strut - black edition" but it's really a shame to see that the strut hits to the Powerchamber.I mean come on, its the same brand and can't these guys think when designing this thing? Anyone using both of these parts? What other strut bars can I buy which is higher?
4. The entire system gets real hot under the hood. Ok it gets cold air from front but wouldn't it pump hot air inside? I read many articles about this kit and most of the people say that its the best for a S2000 but I'm curious.
5. There are only 2 sensor holes on it but I have 3 ?! Pass JDM engineers can't think of this? I had to open a hole on a 900 dollar kit which is really awesome. Is the setup wrong? (pics below)

The intake isn't really designed to be used with a strut bar. Honestly the strut bar is unnecessary as the S2000 comes from the factory with a massive brace already there. Unless you submerge the snorkel, you're not going to suck up water but avoid it nonetheless.

this is well documented if you search. this intake is actually one of the best power wise, but also has alot of issues getting it to fit correctly. apparently password denies that their product doesnt fit. you just have to do the best you can. there are a couple threads in S2KI that talk about this. search that forum
