Project PHNHOME (my '08 sg build thread)
honda bros, sup? new to honda-tech but recently was banned from s2ki for asking to see pictures of non-conservative s2000s ... turns out everyone over there is happy polluting the boards with nothing but ap1/ap2's on lowering springs, painted stock wheels, and invidia exhausts preferably after a wash/wax and/or somewhere random like on a farm. anyway, while i posted these pictures in the "introduction area" am posting them again here to kick start my build thread (which won't be updated until winter 2014 haha).
i bought my car roughly two years, an '08 nfr base model s2000. i bought the last year of changes as i wanted all the bells, whistles, and preferred the ap2 interior (mainly seats) over the ap1. like most of us realize the mod bug bit and the bastard laid eggs, i can't begin to explain what overcame me but in the past twenty-four months i've performed four color changes and no engine work ... sad i know BUT finally found a consistent theme and am ready which is the purpose of this thread. as some of you may know project PHNHOME is signal green, a color on the porsche gt3rs which inspired this build. when thinking about such i wanted to create a functional, unique, and attention grabbing s2000 while sticking with my stance roots (with that said let's slightly nix the functional part). i decided against a super/turbocharger as the gt3rs is an NA equip car and while a built f22 would be nice couldn't pass up the idea of an ls2. i know a lot could argue with this but i always told myself at the end of the day if i start doing this for other people i'd stop, what you're about to witness is my car's build, my thinking, and what i feel best fits this car.
here's a quick stance nation feature back when my car was grigio telesto gray (this is when i thought i'd leave the car stock engine wise ... man was i wrong) however it explains the majority of what i'm doing with this car - http://www.stancenation.com/2012/07/...d-honda-s2000/
and here's recent pictures as the car's only been out of the shop for thirteen days.

when i do my ls2 swap i'll be going higher offsets so i can run wider tires to put as much hp to the ground as possible, until then stance to make her dance

if i put it on the passenger side it'd sit directly over the fusebox which i wasn't feeling, pretty cool to see the heat mirage it emits when sitting at a traffic light though so driver side it is to stay
front or rear?
berlina black s2ks are ghey, u mad?
to each their own, i'd rather crack a wheel and know it's $200 away w/ no wait time, same with the diffuser as i ripped my first one off, and do a unique color then have a stock color s2k like the majority of people. plus it's a porsche color so guess they knew what they were doing with the ninja turtle paint job at least imho

Most s2000 owners like a functional vehicle with legit parts, it's not just s2ki . I'd imagine your attitude along with against the grain type of modifications is the reason you were banned
With that said I liked it better grey and please get a set of wheels that meet the car off and not take all of the attention

Re: Project PHNHOME (my '08 sg build thread)
I don't say this often for "over the top" modified cars, but I really like yours. I think I liked it a little better when it was grey.
A couple of comments (from a guy who kept his S2000 mostly stock ):
* The only thing I could say bad about the car is the handling is not going to be as good as it was stock. I imagine you weren't exactly going for the hardcore track car setup anyway.
* I think the wheels are a bit too far stuck out. You already have aggressive fenders. I think it could look a little nicer if the wheels were more flush with the fender sides.
Anyway, cool car. Must have cost you a pretty penny!

"I think" this car is wicked sick. Can't wait for the power mods! The body is amazing, nothing says race car like widebody. I'm not feeling the green, but it stands out. Everyone will know you by this car because of how unique it is. All the jokers bashing you are probably rolling with stock **** and hate because they don't know how to do more than bolt parts on. Keep up the good work! Blood, sweat and tears

i must say, most S2k owners are pretty stuck up trolls. really glad i require no input from people about the **** i do except the people in my circle.. i looked at two different build threads in here and its the same trolling *** hating ways back to back, kinda don't want to look at any other threads in here. just wow.
anyways, OP, props to you on stepping out and doing something different and something that pleases you. At the end of the day it's your time and money and thought going into it, whole point of it being YOUR project.
As for the criticism, i have no problem with the wheel selection, i'm just not a huge fan of stretch, but obviously for fitment reasons you did what you had to do, and it worked out okay in your favor, good job on that. I dig the color, def weird to see a non OEM color S2k unless its something in a mag of some sort.
good luck on the future mods, and don't let the naysayers of this or any other community have a bland negative input on what goes down on your car, without valid reasoning or explained concern.
