Wow...I bet you are glad to finally have it done!
Car looks great! I remember years ago in an Import Tuner they had a rb26 s13 and a f20 ae-86. Swap always looked sweet to me. Bet it is a best around the track!

It's so so alive...
Well - yesterday was a really happy day.
I took the Toyonda all the way from Derby to the Annual Retro Toyota Gathering down at the Ace Cafe in London. It was the cars first real proper journey since it got its road tax. We did about 245 miles and it didn't miss a beat once - nothing fell off - nothing exploded and nothing caught fire which is just brilliant. 3/4s of a 50L fuel tank that works out about 28/29mpg LOL.
With almost a 100% increase in power the car is now so alive - its suprisingly good mid range (3-6k) and just screams to the 9,200 limiter. The 4.3 final drive works just great with the s2000 6-speed box - its almost like they were made for each other. As you can imagine with any kind of road-legal race car motorway journeys are so far removed from the peace and tranquility of my daily driver BMW E92 330d coupe. At motorway speeds you get crazy amounts of noise from the ring gear on the diff - 80mph is 5,000rpm LOL. It so nice again to have a car that you have to actually guide along the tarmac - everything you do with your hands and feet has an impact on the car - its just so alive and communicates with you constantly.
So when we got to the Ace Cafe I was quite surprised at the turn out - approximately 25 cars which is great considering just how few there are left on the roads in the UK - most have them have met their demise through shear neglect, bouncing off trees on rally stages and wiped out from drifting.
What a great day it was. I just have to try and dial in the brakes and front end a bit better now. Its the Retro Rides Gathering at Prescot Hillclimb next weekend and I think its time to fire it up the hill...

Re: Project: F20 transplant into AE86 Levin
Hey guys,
everything is still working out well with the car:
Its now rolling on a full set of Work Meisters in 15x8 ET-10 and 15x9 ET-10
Went to a pouring wet trackday with fog - it wasn't nice - but the car was fun
Went to retro rides again and took a gentle run up the hill
Few more geometry issues to sort out at the front and get some proper setup done but generally pretty happy with the conversion :D
