Icon2 Looking for help on my build

I recently purchased a 2005 S2K. I've done a lot of looking on the web for performence parts, but a lot of them aren't that great. I was wondering if anyone knew of any awesome websites for upgrades?!?!?!

Talk about vague question....

What type of performance parts? Suspension, brakes, drivetrain, ect?

What do you mean by, "arent that great"? As far as what?

My main focus right now is getting exhaust, stage 2 clutch, short throw, racing seats, harness, and either a harness bar or a roll cage. Andy's Auto isn't too bad. A lot of them don't have a great selection of parts. Also some of the websites have the same things just for ungodly prices.

Everyone will have their opinions, easiest thing to do is Google search what it is you're looking for, then ask of anyone has experience with the product. There are tons of vendors out there, it would be impossible not to be bias lol

they have always been reputable for me ...overpriced? for a matter of 100 bucks it's not worth dealing with scummy forum members or "sponsors." plus all the stuff i have bought for my s is new and not easy to come by

Evasive customer service is top notch, and I would gladly pay a few extra bucks to deal with those guys.

I'm taking a not so wild guess and going to say you didnt do much research on the S2000 because of the parts you listed and havnt figured out its not cheap to modify like a civic or integra. Why do you need a Stage 2 clutch? They dont make short throws for out car. Why do you need those "safety" items? They not necessarily make your car safer.

actually, kyle, there are a couple vendors on s2ki that make short throws for our cars...why anyone would need the throws to be shorter than they already are, is beyond me, but they do make them

Want a good clutch go with a TODA Clutch Kit.
Put you mind to what you want in you car, but keep in mind if you put cheap items in to it then it will always be cheap.

LMFAO hell no TODA would be a waste, better options out there that hold MORE power and better pedal engagement
I had that clutch kit(first one I ever had) was fine for stock power only

Damn, crazy! Last time I looked for a short throw was when I had just bought my S2000 as a silly 19 year old.

Toda would be a huge waste of money, clutchmasters twin disc would be the best bet, it will feel like stock when you want it but once its heated up it will grip like no other.

My recommendation would be to upgrade your exhaust to a single exit 3 inch system (HKS, GT Motoring). It won't do so much on the power side of things just by itself, but S2000's have been shown to benefit from the larger diameter piping, and depending on your modification path down the road won't ever be an issue again. What will be at least somewhat noticeable right off the bat will be weight savings (depending on the specific type of single you go with).

I love clutchmasters. My shop only suggests them to customers because they have multiple quality products, and they know what theyre doing. With adding top notch customer service.
