Increasing leg room for the taller and bigger guys
I'm looking at ways to increase cabin room in my s. I am going to do the stock seat lowering mod over christmas and I was considering getting a smaller diameter steering wheel. I would like to have an airbag though, is this possible? I'm 6'3'' 235lbs, is anyone else in the same boat? I really love the car so swapping it for something else is out of the question.

f1 spec seat and rails get the widest one - there rail brackets allow for the lowest and farthest back position of any, a square wheel like the sparco p310 and some puma speed cats.

Yeah, the rubbing noises annoy the **** out of me, too. I have to tell the gf to scoot forward one notch when she adjusts the seat b/c she just scoots it all the way back.
I was going to get a BYS seat rail, but I can tell you from experience, reclinable buckets won't do anything for you other than loose you space. They are typically a lot bigger than the OEM seats, so in case you considered it, stop considering. Its out of the question for bigger/taller people. They look great, as you can see if you look in my garage, but they left me cramped in there like a sardine.
BTW, if you're 5'8" or less, I have some amazing seats for sale!

I'm 6'-0.5" but mostly legs. I have the BYS lowering rail for the OEM seat. It drops the seat pan about 1". The pan scrapes the floor when all the back now. If you do the seat foam trim too, you might be able to get another 0.5-1" lower.

yeaa im 6'0 and the car is JUST right all the way back at a comfortable angle. definitely feel cramped inside. There's plenty of headroom though. Maybe if you do some seriously modding and remove the plastic trim behind the seat....basically strip the car??

Re: Increasing leg room for the taller and bigger guys
I would guess that with putting the seat at the most vertical position it would decrease headroom, especially with you being 6'3. I would try the lower seat rails and see how that works out for you.
Dont feel bad, Im 5'10 and sometimes feel like its too small for me

I would love to swap the wheel out for another smaller diameter wheel that has an airbag. I lift weights and my leg is 22'' at the knee joint so it's pretty much jammed in there. My buddy did the lowered seat rails and I'm not impressed, so not going that way.

Is there anyone else that makes drop seat brackets other than BYS? they are crazy pricey!
