Re: Honda S2000 VS. Lotus Exige
A k-swapped lotus exige over any Ferrari? No way would I ever make that statement. K series with 210 hp in an exige? I believe the exige-s has 240+ hp already haha. I would take a ton of Ferraris over that anyday. It's a Ferrari... How about an F430 Scuderia?

The 2006 and later Exige is street legal. The previous years of the Exige were never officially imported to the United States , and those are not street legal.

Yeah I don't know about that either. However, I would much rather have a Formula Atlantic car instead of a Ferrari any day. The prices are about the same.

^x2
you are wrong sir the exige comes with the celica gts 2ZZ-GE motor but a Yamaha head it produces about 190-200 bhp now the exiges 240s is the one with 240 bhp and thats only cause it is supercharged. so having a k-swap in a regular exige is a step uu not only in power but in in reliability and potential. so get ur **** right b4 u try to skool someone homie.

LOL I must think differently than you guys, but I'm into raw cars that flat out perform, cheap to maintain, reliable and easy to work on. Three characteristics i've mentioned probably do not fit under the ferarri category, although I have no experience with ferarris. Cheap to maintain, reliability, and easy to work on. No matter how much money I ever had, I don't think I would buy a ferarri, a supercharged k-series lotus, or nsx would provide me with pleasure. ; )

Re: Honda S2000 VS. Lotus Exige
The Honda S2000 and the Lotus Elise – two roadsters, both originally produced in the 1990s, both using high-revving four-cylinder engines and both symbolising long-held traditions of their builders.
Even so, the similarities of the two roadsters end there, one using a classic front-engined layout, the other combining cutting-edge construction and a mid-engined configuration. Of course, Honda and Lotus have formidable motorsport experience, and both channel this into their road cars and use it as a basis for their trademark engineering approaches.
Honda’s high-revving, naturally aspirated engines are justly famed. And Lotus is equally hailed for its lightweight, minimalist approach and application of innovative chassis technology.
The Honda S2000’s handsome, classical roadster proportions were matched with a simply incredible 2.0-litre engine capable of revving to 9,000rpm. A true drivers car, the S2000 gained a reputation for somewhat snappy handling that Honda has addressed with a number of tweaks and upgrades, most recently at the beginning of 2007 models – including Honda introducing traction control, which was a must for this lairy ‘rear end happy’ car!
But can an updated version of a nine-year-old car really take on Lotus’s latest and greatest? The British corner being fought by the supercharged Elise SC. Weighing just over 900kg and powered by a supercharged 1.8-litre Toyota engine revving to over 8,000rpm, this latest Elise is a formidable package.
I think if these two roadsters were put together on a track, i think we can safely say it would be very entertaining and we would be standing back and watching the sparks fly…!

Blah, a Formula Enterprise or a SportsRacer will toast either one of those cars and only cost about 50k brand new.

Why is the Exige useless as a daily? People drive 1000 horse cars as dailys or cars 2 inchs off the ground as dailys... The Exige can be drivin on the street legaly and that car cant. the Exige can fit two people and that THING cant. The exige can drive in the rain while you stay dry and that thing you will be soaked...

I was only saying that you might as well get serious and get a real racecar if you have that much extra cash burning a hole through your wallet.
