Car dies under load: Fixed
I have a 2003 S2000 all stock with 122,xxx miles. Two days ago I was driving along and my car just dies out of no where. All electrics shut off and gauge cluster goes dark. All my warning lights come on and then car shuts off.
I figured my alt took a crap so replaced it with a unit for AutoZone and grab a new battery to boot. Put everything in and it still does the same thing! I checked all my fuses and everything is good.
Any ideas what this could be?
Edit: the car will idle fine and not die. It only happens when give it gas. Happens in neutral and in gear.
Thanks

Re: Car dies under load
Wow, that's really weird :/
Check your harness and make sure it's not burned or cut anywhere. Also check the harness connections to everything especially the ECU. Also check the grounds.
If none of the above then it could be a bad ECU.

I did do all of those checks you mentioned. I'll see if I can locate an ECU to swap in and see if that fixes the issue. I also read a lot of people having issues with the MAP sensor. So that's 2 things I'll check out.

Did some further digging and it ended up being a crop of bad wires leading into the fuse box under the dash. Fixed 'em and problem solved
