225/50/16 in the front and 245/45/16 in the rear.

I'd go with S03's if i had the funds, however i went with falken fk 451s and i am pleased with their performance. i use to have s03's on my dc2 and they are good tires.

IMO nothing beats the stock s02's, the ES100's are FAR behind in dry traction. The S03 is a step down in dry traction but gets a bump in wet traction compared to the S02's.

Short of going R compound, I would say yes, stick with the S-02's.

I hear the Kumho MX are very good tires for the money and offer about 90% of the dry grip that S02's offer and for almost half the price. For some reason though, the rear OEM Spec S02's are underrated in size and are actually a little wider than normal 225 width tires. If you want to go with a different sized tire, make sure you get a 245 series for the rear.

As for S03 vs. S02, the S03 is much better in the wet, but not quite as good as the S02 in the dry. I don't ever plan on racing when its wet outside, so i'll stick with the S02 .

Thanks! I just got back from streets of willow yesterday and here is a pic of one of my S02's after one of my sessions.

I talked to a few of the guys at the track, and they said the S02 is probably the best street tire for the S2000. Anything better, you are going to want to run a R Compound tire. One thing i noticed with the S02's was that after about 10 laps at the track, they were getting REAL hot and the car was getting hard to handle with a happier tail and more understeer.

well for one, is it me or those tires don't look right? lol, and second, what do you mean by R compound? as in like drag radials? and if so, aren't drag radials kinda sucky for turns and handling?

as said on tire rack, a higher performing tire wont last long. Sticky tires wear out faster, that's a fact. There's no such thing as a high performance tire that lasts. With that in mind, you can choose what you can afford, or choose the best. There is a difference b/w cheap tires and expensive tires, they aren't expensive for nothing. You get what you pay for.

well yea, thats common sense cuz with sticky tires you leave chunks of the tires on the floor lol.
