05 F22 INTO 06 S2000 - INTERNALLY THE SAME???
Well my friend's 06 s2k took a dump, #4 cylinder was scored and head was all chewed up. He recently picked up an 05 f22 long block for a good price with low miles. We are fully aware of the numerous sensors that must be switched over along with the 06 valve cover and intake mani / tb. When comparing all internal parts of the cylinder head and block they are all the same, atleast from what i can see on majestic honda. Can anyone confirm that there are no internal differences within the 05 and 06 f22 engines that would require internal parts to be switched over? A reputable s2000 tuner and shop in PA is insisting the "rollers" must be changed, but has refused to provide any details or reasoning.
Has anyone done this swap / conversion before?

Re: 05 F22 INTO 06 S2000 - INTERNALLY THE SAME???
I answered this question a few times and the answer's on the other forum if you care to look for a more in-depth answer. The only difference aside from the TB/IM/VC/CPS/CAS are supposedly in the air pump passages of the head that won't really affect your swap. If you're concerned though, you can block it off.
I personally haven't seen the 06+'s head casting to see if it's physically different but there's a ton of people who have put 06+ in 00-05 and vice versa with no real difficulty. I've had the blocks side by side and they were identical. And I have no idea wat your reputable s2000 tuner and shop in PA was referring to, if he means the cam rollers he may have meant the cam angle sensor wheels that attach to the camshaft. Those are indeed different between 00-05 and 06-09. The same goes for the Crankshaft trigger wheel.
