Re: Thinking about getting a ruckus
go on totalruckus.com, it's the ruckus version of honda-tech. (alot of users here are on there, too.)
but to answer your questions, in most states you'll need a valid driver's license to legally operate the moped. You wouldn't be able to take it out on the highway since there's usually a 150cc min. to ride on the highway. but yeah, check out totalruckus.com! |

I passed my DMV M1 test on my ruckus. As for the highway riding you need a 230 or 250cc, i cant remember. Me and a buddy got busted and yell by the Harbor Patrol for trying to cross the Vincent Thomson Bridge. They told us that we need at less a 250cc to ride on a highway. Drew |
Re: Thinking about getting a ruckus
For missouri, you only need a helmet and a regular Driver's License to operate a 50cc scooter on the public roadways (except for highways). No registration, no plates, no inspection, no tags, no insurance, no hassle. Anything over 50cc need the same things as a motorcycle I believe (M endorsement, insurance, plates, tags, etc. etc.).

Re: Thinking about getting a ruckus
The Ruckus is a "motorcycle". It is a smaller motorcycle also known as a "motor-driven cycle".
CVC 400, CVC 405. It is not a "motorized bicycle" or "moped". CVC 406. http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displa… Class M1. A two-wheel motorcycle or a motor-driven cycle. Authority to operate a vehicle included in a class M1 license may be granted by endorsement on a class A, B, or C license upon completion of an appropriate examination. |
