How new is your Ruck? How many miles? We need a little more information before we can try to solve an issue here on the forums.

Off the top of my head:

1. Check your coolant level and make sure that it's within the correct limit on the reservoir.

2. Check all your hoses for damage or cracks.

3. Only fill up using the correct oil 10w40. I prefer Motul.

4. Check your radiator level, I've heard people having the correct coolant level in the reservoir but the level was low in the radiator.

5. There could be a chance that your head gasket is fried. If you are not comfortable taking apart your engine to inspect, I'd ask around for a reputable mechanic.

ok, '09 bought in '10. 23000 miles, coolant & hoses look good. my manual says 10w30 oil. i took a ride today, not to long but longer than it was taking to overheat. nothing. maybe it just needed to cool for a night. i'll find out.

Download yourself a copy of the service manual, it'll help you out a lot. Start around page 60 for what your looking for. Get it here.
