Need 3rd Party Input!
Hi, Im new to the forum and have never owned a Ruckus before,
I am looking at purchasing a Ruckus from someone online and was curious if you could help verify some information and give me your opinion on whether or not it is a good buy. The sellers communication is not the best hense the reason i am looking for 3rd party input. The listing says it is a 180cc GY6 swap and he is asking $3000 Can anyone give me information on this build, Is it worth $3000? is it 180cc? Does it look like a quality build? Anything I should know before buying? Thank you for your input!!https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...6e5f3aee50.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...7dbde36b1d.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...d985576145.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...a5d70f5d08.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...dbe6deb0d8.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...10ee53fb73.jpg |
Re: Need 3rd Party Input!
Some build info and rough prices:
Front wheel & hub - $300, Forks - $200, Front disc brakes - $200, Brake levers - $150 LED light and bracket - $90, Front turn signals - $40, Rear under seat lights - $75, Under glow lights - $30 Speedometer - $125, Fuel gauge - $60, Handlebars - $200+, Throttle - $30-$50, Start/Kill switch - $45, Left side control - $25-$45, hand grips & mirror - $30 Panty Dropper Decal - PRICELESS!!! Gas tank cover - $45, Foot pegs - $20, Kick stand - $60, Seat frame - $200, Air fliter - $16, Manifold cocking flange(angles the carb) - $25 GY6 150cc engine - $300, *180cc Bore kit - $100, Engine mount/Stretch kit - $275, Harness - $160+, Exhaust system - $300+, Rear wheel & hub - $200, Rear shock - $100, licence plate holder - $75 *(Only way to tell if this is a 180cc is to ride it, should be faster than a 150cc and more torque.) Depending on the year of the bike and the condition, used stock Rucks go from $1200-$1800 in my area. (may be cheaper in your area) Factor in the price of the mods, how it rides, and how much YOU like the bike. Overall its a nice looking Ruck. I would make an offer of $2500 (depending on the year), and haggle the price to maybe $2700 cash. (Because of the non matching wheels, wear and tear, and it looks well used. Only being honest.) If it ain't a 180cc, $2500 cash. Good luck |
