From the Ground Up mini bike
I finally started my vision of making my own mini bike and I really liked the idea of matching it to my car. I had this motor laying around and saved some cromoly from going to the scrap. Picked up the forks for free from a friend and I figure I could fab up a chain drive using bmx wheels.
I'm sure it'll be simple to match the bike to my car with a black powder coat finish and maybe an Acura badge on the front of the head tube. I'll update this as it finishes. Enjoy and if you have any good ideas feel free to share. I haven't figured out my seating, lighting or foot pegs yet. Thanks.

Thanks. LOL. Everything I've done is low budget. That integra is a 2000 GSR with a clean title. No motor, no trans it cost me $800. Now I want to build this bike so I can putt around the track, the hood or backtrails while Im camping. I'm using .083 cromoly and I'll tig weld everything here at work. The things I'll buy are a clutch, handlebars and a rear wheel, since I didn't realize i need a left drive hub which I don't have.

I went ahead and did a little welding. I cut my head tube to length and machined the ends nice and neat. I cut a couple of gussets to strengthen the two piece top tube(had limited pieces). Cleaned up all the welding surfaces and proceeded to weld.
Next, I'll pick up a clutch and rear wheel and figure the drive set up. Also, I'll have my boss cnc plasma the rear drop outs so I'll be able to finish the rear.

Nice project. Check out motoredbikes.com or motorbicycling.com, there are some similar projects there. (Mostly the chinese kits, but a few custom jobs)

Re: From the Ground Up mini bike
Well, not much has been done lately. Long days at work and small projects for guys here and there hasn't left me with much motivation. I picked up a couple of things and and did a little welding on it. Hope to do more soon.
I bought a pair of protaper motocross bars which turned out to be better than I imagined.
I also picked up the clutch, chain and this gear set.
Lastly, I have pics of the plate in which my rear sprocket will bolt to. I welded it straight to the gear of this wheel I picked up off of a friend. It is a ball bearing multidirectional cassette hub.
Next, I have to lace up a new rim to this hub since this one is bent beyond repair. And after that I'll be able to finish the rear of the frame and move on to the seat and electrical(head light, tail light) and so on.
