Default first time. 100cc<>gy6 150cc

whats up guys i am new to the ruckus game, i have a 93 eg6 SiR-S but picked up a 09 ruckus 340 original miles one owner. it is stretched and has a yoshimira(spelled wrong) exhaust.
this thing is god aweful slow. i have been reading the thing to do it a gy6 150cc swap, i found a 100cc big bore kit for the fatory 50cc motor.
my question is. is it easier to do the 100cc big bore swap vs the gy6 150cc and would i have to upgrade carbs for the big bore kit.
ive read the gy6 is abour 1500-2000$ if done right, kits for the 100cc are around 200$..

i just need this thing to reach 60mph yo

so i can ride to work on the highway.

it's nowhere near that expensive for a Gy6 swap.

dont waste your money on the 50cc..go gy6, yea its expensive. however you have all the extra power and tq for daily driving. there is also no way that 100cc would every be reliable, never ever..and yes a gy6 swap done RIGHT is about $1500

I had a friend do a 90cc big bore on the stock engine. He wasted his money because after he was done i walked it out on him (GY6) in every way. And to have quality parts for the big bore would be way more than $200. Not including machine work like installing a sleeve.

A gy6 swap can be done from way less that $1500 if you do the work yourself and budget. Things like building your own harness, welding your own mount etc save lots of money. I bought a junk 150cc scooter for $80 off craigslist, thats the best route cause you get an engine and wiring clips, carb, wheel etc

Go GY6 you will not be disappointed!

Also you pay for what you get! Quality stuff is more money. I would steer away from building your own mount if you're not a welder. I wouldn't trust myself to make a mount for the ruck!
