Custom sub frame fabrication?
Just bought a GY6 ruck off a buddy.
already has a standard functions 8” stretch and a 7” rear wheel. this stretch kit isn’t long enough for me and it won’t allow for an 8” rear wheel. rather than buying a stretch kit and motor mount, I thought I would try welding my own motor mounts and rear shock mount. ive seen lots to weld the mounts in the past. I have no idea where you need to mount them. ive also seem rear shock mounts welded to the back of the frame. I have no idea where I’m supposed to weld this. is there anyone that’s done this work before and help guide me on the weld locations? |
Re: Custom sub frame fabrication?
Mojo Customs sell weld-on motor mounts that will allow you to customize your stretch and offset the engine for a 8inch fatty rear wheel.
You can get a shock mount from there also. https://mojo-customs.com/product/gy6-weld-on-mount/ If you're making your own mount, here's where most people weld them on: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...e355d82fd.jpeg |
