A little late, but I bought one of these 2 days ago. 2001 Elite 50S 2-stroke, which is more restricted from the factory, but I'm taking care of that as we speak

I just picked up a 87 Elite 50cc.
I just dont know where to start for modding it. Any suggestions or sites that i should look at.
Today i took it out and on the flats it pushed 30mph. I guess i would love to have it do 40mph, and maybe sound a little nicer, and have a better head light up front. (any suggestions ?)

There is tons of useful info in there and also a good classifieds.

I just picked up an '88 SA50 on Friday.. It has been setting in a barn for more than 2 years. First thing I had to do was repair the gas tank. Thats done and the thing hasn't wanted to start. I started messing with the choke thingy on the carb and with some good kicks on the kickstart and working the throttle, it started. Ran decient until I let off the throttle. Tried to start it again...Nothing. Messed with the choke again it took a little bit but it started. I ran it for about 5 to 7 minutes. I slowly let off the throttle to see if it would idle but it died and I couldn't get it to restart.
Anyone think the choke thingy is deff. the prob.? I just ordered a new one anyway...
I put a new plug in it too.
