2017 Ruckus wont start

I have 2 Honda Ruckus' that i bought last year. They have about ~250 Miles on each one of them. I don't drive them often, so often the battery dies. I've been reliant on the kick start on most days. The last go round I havn't riden either one of them for about a month, then tried to kick star them, they both spudder for a few seconds and then die. I recently changed the oil on both of them, topped off with new gas, however still having the same issue. I kick start, they spudder for a few seconds, then die. I am not mechanically inclined with the scooters, however if there are some quick checks/fixes that anyone can think of before i haul them off to the shop, i would appreciate it. Again, all i have tried at this point is, 1. changed the oil, 2. checked the air filters (looked good). It's pretty strange that its happening to both of them at the same time.

Appreciate any help here.

Ivan

Re: 2017 Ruckus wont start

Some suggestions:
It could be the electronic fuel pump stopped working. When you turn the key, listen for a sound near/under the gas cap area.
if you don't hear a sound then the fuel pump went bad, or could possibly have a blown fuse. Fuses are located on the positive side of the battery terminal
underneath the front plastic covers. Very strange for both bikes to fail. If they are still under warranty let Honda check them out.
It could also be bad gas that is still inside the fuel lines and the carb. If so, you have to drain it and I would recommend using premium gas.
Hope this helps

Have you verified that you are getting gas to the carb? The rubber line on the right rear side of carb (facing forward) is the gas line. Take it off, then turn the key to on, and see if it pumps gas?
