Well I was able to find a 2012 Black Honda Ruckus in Kansas City, MO, while I was on vacation. So of course I had to buy it...

So what are the mods I should do when I have the money flowing again?

I am going to be DDing this bad boy down in Texas instead of my CRX. So I want to maintain the best mpgs possible!

Enjoy it man, I love my rucks..... if you're not careful, they'll steal all of the money from your pockets when you're not looking. Just a warning haha

nah no GY6 for me. I want to get 100+ mpg! Or as close as I can get. and my CRX steals all my money first haha... I dont have any left! My wife bought me the ruck!

Awesome pickup, appearance mods that appeal to you but performance I suggest a variator with weights to suit your weight. Upgraded shock helps too. I love my ruckus (even in the Texas heat) but it can become a money pit easy

Thanks. Okay explain this variator thing to me. What is a good shock? And I am in San Angelo and will try to DD this bad boy.

Its for the transmission helps your acceleration vs top speed. Easy DIY and noticeable difference. And for the shock nearly any aftermarket is an upgrade, also choose one based on your weight :P Some basic google searches will answer a lot of questions

Hmmm.. well I weigh 200 lbs. I dont know which I would even want for DDing... top speed or acceleration lol. it lacks so much in both categories!

I ordered a Polini variator which came with multiple weights. I found a combo that worked best for me. It's a trial and error sorta thing ha

I felt the same way when I got my first one, said I'd just keep the stock motor and putt around like that, but next thing you know, I was building a bored and stroked gy6 haha.

They're pretty cool little scooters though. Do you ever see any scooters up in Billings?

They just opened a Vespa store a year or 2 ago. I was away at college and moved back for about 8 months.

But now I am down in San Angelo, TX. And there isn't even a Honda Powersports dealer here haha.

Thanks guys. Only one mod so far. That is a set of chrome skulls on the valve stems. I ride the scooter to work and back everyday. I am at about 250 miles on it right now :)

Well darn near 700 miles are on her and all I have done was the chrome skulls that a buddy and I stole off of a car in our lot. (I work at a dealership) and changed the oil.

I love this thing but I am wishing it had a little more umph... Id love a 125 in her :)
