2007 honda ruckus top speed
i just bought a 2007 honda ruckus completely stock it only top outs at 39 or 40 mph when going down a hill no matter how big the hill is it wont go any faster
is this due to the rev limiter and will a new aftermarket cdi box change this
thank you

if its stacked with quite a bit of miles i would say replace all the maintainance stuff, change fluids and see if that will help. make sure you give it some miles before the new parts get to kick in. everyone says you cant get much faster on a stock GET motor but its possible.
ideally, i would like to average 45-50 mph on a stock ruckus, but you wont get that stock and you will need a lot of upgrades. start with a cdi and a variator and different weights of rollers. it all depends on your weight too, your elevation, and getting the motor tuned to the upgrades
