adjusting idle screw
i had to adjust my idle screw as a temporary fix to keep my car from stalling. Is it ok to drive like that for a while. It makes a loud sucking noise b/c i backed out the idle screw quite a bit. If someone knows something that i dont please let me know, we weren't able to fix the idle problem yet...check out my other post about it-->https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1323377

Re: (NaptownKing)
The idle screw adjustment is set in a wax pellet, and it's not supposed to be moved unless you replace that wax, since it won't hold anymore. You should get your idle screw put back in place and the wax replaced.
Your idle/stalling problem is extremely common on 4th gens (what year is your car?), do a search on this and other Prelude boards when you have a few hours to kill. It could be a too-heavy keychain in your ignition that's causing it to cut out, it could be a main relay that dies when the car gets hot, it could be a dirty IACV or bad EGR valve. There are a couple other things too but I can't remember. But one thing that's NOT causing your problem is an idle adjust screw that magically is in the wrong position.
