so I spun a bearing in my Jdm h22a and I bought a h22a4 with type s pistons to replace it. The motor did not come with a harness so I wanna use the one from the h22a. What all do I need to switch over to use this harness on the h22a4?

If they are the same OBD level, nothing.

92-95 are OBD1, 96-01 are OBD2.

What year is your car? What year was the JDM? Did you rewire anything for the JDM?

Well I know the h22a4 is obd2 it's a 98 and the h22a is a 98 but I've heard all Jdm motors are obd1?

i actually just finished a similiar swap today. i put a a4 into my 93 which was an a1.
1. you can remove the crank sensor because the a1 harness does not have a connector for that.
2. you will need to use the a1 fuel injectors and dizzy.
3. i had to swap the knock sensor from the a1 because the connector is different on the a4 and doesnt hook up to the harness.
4. if you use the IM from the a4 the MAP sensor sits on top of the TB which i didnt rewire, i just left the original MAP on the firewall and it seems to be working fine.

i think that is about it, if i think of anything else i will repost.

i am not familiar with the JDM h22 and the differences with the a1 version so i hope this helps.

Yea injectors and dizzy are getting swapped today. Thanks for the help! And befor I put it in I wanna replace all the seals and gaskets. I have oem timing belt and head gasket but for the other seals would a eBay gasket kit be ok?
