What Have you done to your Prelude today?

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
Recently a similar car arrived at a nearby junkyard.
^^ adding to the parts hoard
So I've been picking at this car the last few days.
And fixing up my engine bay is in full swing using new, or coated parts galore..
^^ 9 pound box of screws, clips, keepers and gadgets....
^^ recent batch of coated parts.
The winter months will be spent improving both looks and performance of this fine fine car disguised as a beat up bucket of bolts.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
i had a clutchmaster twin disc setup first. i removed it because it was impossible to daily drive. now im running ACT 6 puck. i would do E85 but its not available everywhere. my solution is to setup a water/methanol injection kit to boost the octane

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
NICE!!!
I continued restoration of the engine bay and added a bit more hard to spot pizazz to the chassis.
^^ power steer pump getting cleaned n polished
^^ coated parts curing.
Polished parts get a engine ready clear coat. Other parts get coated similar to original color, flat black or dark gray depending on where they are going to be located.
^^ the black n white thing continues. Note the like new screws.
The battery cable keeper and inside face to the trunk latch got some checkers added. SH center caps were tweaked in the crevices to add some contrast to the white.
^^ recoated EGR solenoid with build # intact.
^^ trunk latch re-installed
^^ the hard to spot center cap mod thing in play.
^^ the dark gray thing.
Black coated bolts hold it until I'm done sprucing up some with the oem brass finish.
^^ the before/after spruce up/clear coat thing.
^^ door trim restored.
Sanded to metal. Brushed on oil based paint. Let cure a month. Sanded. Sprayed enamel over that. A year later.
^^ hard to spot checkers added to the dead pedal.
Screws were polished n clear coated. Stud was painted black.
^^ fog light covers painted to match.
They'll be there until I get around to doing brake cooling ducts. I have the screens curing now.
^^ EGR valve getting re-vamped.
Cleaned inside and outside will receive a facelift as part of the entire EGR system re-vamp.
My entire induction system has a nice layer of soot. So I'll disassemble, clean and polish/coat that this winter while the roads are to $hitty to drive on.
That's a basic overview of the progress lately and the general idea of the direction I'm going. A major project that I figure will take 5 years to complete. The odo will still be 235k+ miles on her. So when done, she'll still be all worn out. But she'll look dam good for her age and mileage.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
Well after over a year I finally got my spare engine back in the car. Took care of some other issues, cleaned a bunch.
Now I have a no start issue. Time to troubleshoot, but the wife has dinner plans tonight.

Glad it turned out to simple, distributor key needed to be turned 180 degrees. Now to fine tune it, and bleed the brakes since I did an ABS delete.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
Picked up a P13 Locally ordered the harness from Amazon arrived today. got it started sounds terrible, can't tell if it's rod knock, noise coming from the throwout bearing or the valves? made a video if anyone cares to take a look?

She lives again, after picking up A P13 ecu Locally And ordering a conversion harness from Amazon I got hEr running. doesn't sound very good, made a video don't know if you'll be able to help any. but I can't tell if its the throwout bearing, rod knock, or the valves. when I engage the clutch, I can feel the vibration and the noise gets quieter.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
I didn't do anything to mine today, but I finally bought a 92-93 oem seven spoke rim. Took me over a year and a half to find it.
