Stripped my A4 down to bare block to do master rebuild for boost build, after 90k miles and 400lbs of nitrous sprayed at 85 shot, internals were spotless lol.

Nothing today except gawk at it.
The past week oem speakers arrived. New shift boot, **** arrived. Better moldings and trim procured and more parts soon to come.
The 97 got oem air cleaner install complete with the vacuum tank being replaced. Painted prelude in 5th gen lettering on the rear of the tailor made cover.
The 91 got some tlc too. Broke out simple green and q-tips for some sprucing it up.
Was a good week for spending time on my preludes.
Junkyard excursion this weekend. A pair of 5th gens nearby and a new 89 too. Pickings should be good because not many prelude fans in my area.

Got to play with the intake and exhaust manifold as well as break the knock sensor off clean... Lucky I had a spare floating around.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
Replaced leaky cam plug. Adjusted valves (runs sooooo much smoother now)
Noticed the top gasket on my vtec solenoid is leaking. Just recently changed the gasket that mates with the block so I guess this one wanted to go a few weeks later. Simple fix

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
Customising my rear number plate holder. Shaving the key hole
also. From what i understand their were two types produced
for the 4g lude. Japanese and American plates fit perfect with
no sign of the hollow part behind the plate. The euro type
plate holders of course are wider to accomodate the longer
type plates. Unfortunately Australian plates are slightly
longer but not as tall as jap/us plates so you can see two
of the hollow areas behind the plate. It has always bugged
me so i have filled in parts of the hollow section and i will
now be able to refit the plates soon and it will look perfect
and centered. Will post pics to show better what i am talking
about, when i get some time.

^ pics
See the two hollow gaps above the plate. Btw if you raise the
plate to cover those gaps, there are gaps below the plate.
upload pic
As it is now with gaps filled and key hole shaved. Will paint soon, and
post pics. I will be able to perfectly center the plate and i think it will
look much better.

My lude and I got pulled over yesterday. Cop popped the hood and stood there admiring all my stock greatness. Wish he let me out of the car so I could admire it too. Off I went.
Changed transmission fluid with Honda MTF. My old fluid was nasty. A lot smoother now

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
Junkyard run yielded parts for the 91 interior black and tan interior project. Tools for motor swap/repair accumulating. Searching for low mileage B21 or re-mfd short block.
Vinyl and plastic cleaned for change to white accents in the 97 interior. Q-ball shift **** and a bunch of other pieces and parts procured. Parts from a 99 part out arriving weekly. Engine bay cleanup continues. A brisk drive in the country side likely today.

Check out 'circle auto recycling . com' and get on there wish list notifications. They have 4 yards in the richmond area. Also Bruce's auto, Woodfin's and Lacy around richmond. 5ths are mostly in the norfolk/suffolk area. Richmond gets all the 3rds and 4ths.
Good luck.
