swap H23A1 to a JDM H22A( motor mounts)???
hey guys i have a 93 prelude SR i had a H23A1 and the motor blew so i have just bought a JDM H22a DOHC V tec, i have already switched my H23 wire harness over i know about the wire for vtec and where they go but when i went to put the motor in the mounts didn't line up, the tranny was hitting the cross member under the fire wall, and the motor was sitting to high, where do i find these motor mounts or is it custom work i have to do?

Yup mounts are the same. If you are just looking at the top of the engine, the H22 head is taller, so it does stick up more. If you seem to have a mount issue, try using your H23 mounts, as they should be exactly the same on the engine, and you know they fit the car.

Bolt the rear mount to the subframe first, bolt the front mount to the subframe, bolt side mount to motor while out of car, same with trans mount, bolt rear mount bracket to engine/trans, drop motor/trans in, put through bolt in rear mount, bolt in the side mount and trans mount then bolt front mount bracket to block and put the through bolt through the front mount and you're done.
