Default Suspension Clunking? help

So Recently, my car started making a wierd clunk. I can't seem to figure it out. It happens when I go over speed bumps and when I turn right and hit a bump. It sounds to be coming from the front left side of the car. Recently, I knocked all the grease out of my lower ball joint. Could that be the problem? I thought it was my suspension at first but I switch back to stock suspension and it still made the clunk. Any input would be great. Thanks!

i think that would be more of a click than a clunk

bump for a better answer.

I just picked up a 5th gen last week to add to my stable. It's lowered on skunk2 springs (not adjustable) and has a clunk that will come from either rear side depending on harshness of the bump or angle of the car.

Think that clunking sound could be your anti roll bar ties (sway bar end links) as they are known, the bushes tend to get play with age and make a popping / clunking sound. Mine are needing replacing 90k miles 5th gen. By the way I think there was a safety recall on the lower balljoints on 5th gen, so you could get them done free if not already done.
