SS ECU -> 5-speed ECU wiring?
i hear that it's possible to rewire a SS ECU to make it a manual ECU. (1999 prelude).
does anyone know how this is done? or have experience in doing it?
comments welcomed.

Re: SS ECU -> 5-speed ECU wiring? (ShowSpeed)
I am not new to preludes or wiring or ECU's...but please explain what you mean by SS.......I currently have an 99' h22a4 in my 99 civic ruinning off the OBDII Prelude ECU....maybe I could help, but I have never heard of anyone refer to an ECU as "SS"
Thanks...

Re: SS ECU -> 5-speed ECU wiring? (ShowSpeed)
I thought the prelude had a completely separate module that ran the tranny.......so I dont see why the ECU wouldnt work on a 5-speed.....its just that the automatic h22s are said to have less Hp from the motor and I think the rev limiter is different too.....So I think I would try to source a 5-speed one.....it just seems like less headache....but I am sure that it would still work in a 5-speed car....

yes, the car will run. but the idle would be crazy. you said you had a h22 in yours? if u're interested.. i can put my ecu in your car.. then you'll knw what i mean.
i'm just trying to save money. if i can rewire the auto ecu to a 5speed ecu.. i can save $150.00 or so.
