The people who have had problems with their engine after seafoaming are most likely the ones who poured MORE than 1/2 the bottle directly into intake mani and didnt slowly do it, REMEMBER YOUR FEEDING LIQUID INTO YOUR MOTOR, use caution, do it SLOWLY, do not rev it up while your doing it either, this is what really F's up shit.

After pouring 1/2 or 1/3 bottle, shut off the car and wait, once you start up, do NOT rev it heavily, LIGHTLY blip the throttle every minute or so to get the seafoam out of the intake manifold and through the engine.
You can easily blow out your head gasket, or worse.

I've been using seafoam for years.. on numerous types of cars/engines, and I've never had a problem, EVER.

This is where internet bangwagons and KNOWLEDGE collide.. Hearing about it is one thing. doing it yourself CORRECTLY is another.

Wow I just did everything you said no to do my friend revved it while I put it in and after 5 minutes I went and redlined it. Idc tho this motor is on its last leg anyway

well in that case, stick some bleach in the crank case then rev it out some more, after that, put a few pennies and screws in the intake and suck those up, your motor will hesitate for a while, but give the screws time to fly around and clean all the carbon out of your engine.. The bleach should dissolve any traces of oil and create the most friction possible

I've never actually used seafoam before but from what i know, most wouldn't need it. One of the best ways to clean out carbon build up is to drive the car hard. Now i don't mean to do burnouts and slam gears. All that's needed is to see some rpms and vtec every once in a while. Doing so will open up the engine and let it breath which will also help burn off some carbon. You don't produce much carbon at WOT or even with any throttle. Carbon usually builds up during idle. And since most don't let there car warm up anyways, you probably won't have much to get rid of.

My one question is, where is all this carbon that you're trying to get rid off???

Most engines run lean at idle.. its when you dump gas (full throttle) into the engine.. creating a richer mixture and thus carbon buildup.
And this is the SAME exact treatment honda stealerships do and charge your ass $150+!!!!
