anywhere under about 3500rpm it feels like its bogging down real bad the codes say system too rich and fuel trim malfunction, a few weeks ago it also said cylinder one misfire so i got new plugs and ngk wires, cap and rotor, and it ran a little better but still it has no power at low rpm, it seems like its starved for fuel or flooding out, when i get on it and hit second it shoots a black cloud out the exhaust so i know its got to be really rich. any body have any idea whats wrong?? its a 98 five speed 140,000 mi. it also has a aem cai and i just bought a new filter so its getting enough air also changed the fuel filter today and erased the codes. i listened to the exhaust closely at idle today and it sounds like its miss firing on a cylinder or something and the exhaust stinks bad so maybe a clogged cat? but i don't think it would be the cat cause it still runs fine at high rpm please help!!!

have you check you vaccum lines? have you pull out the plugs and see which one is wet? are the firing order right? have you check compression?

no i haven't done any of those, the plugs havent been wet but definitly rich. i did the wires one at a time so i know the firing order is still corect. and i don't have anything to do a compression check
