So I am having an issue with the revs hanging when driving. The revs do not drop as I would expect as I clutch in to shift. They stay up for a second and then they drop quite slow. This causes me to not be able to shift quickly and smoothly. Also, I have noticed something else. When I clutch in, the rpm needle will actually raise before going back down. I am definitely allowing my foot to come off the accelerator completely. Is there anyone that has dealt with this problem?

What have you done so far to trouble shoot? Sounds like a sticking throttle to me so far.

I cleaned the throttle body and made sure it was smooth. Wasn't even that dirty. I also inspected the cable and it's fine. It only really does this when the car is warm. When I first start it, it seems to act more normal.

It actually sounds like the clutch is slipping.

Thats not it. The engine is still rotating fast after I'm clutching up shift. That has nothing to do with the clutch.
