Default radius rod removal

I am in the process of replacing the clutch in my 2001 prelude sh. The manual says to remove the radius rod but I cannot for the life of me get it apart from the lower ball joint. I have tried using a ball joint separator, lots of wd-40 and pb buster, and just basically beating on it with a hammer, but nothing has worked yet. Can anyone help me?? Thanks in advance; this is going to be the death of me if I can't figure it out soon

Use a jack and a piece of wood. They are a complete bitch when they want to. Put the piece of wood under the rotar and jack the jack up under it.

Then once its up in the air about half an inch off the other supporting jacks, I usally push down on the body of the car until it breaks free.

Use a ball joint separator to apply some separation force. Then use a sledgehammer and beat the radius rod downward until it breaks free. Works every time for me.

Wait, my radius rods are held on by two bolts on the LCA and a nut thru the crossmember. What ball joint are you talking about?

SH has a different suspension setup that includes lower ball joints.

I've had more luck just hitting it with a hammer to separate it vs using an arm puller. When it comes to lca balljoints or tie rod ends its a different story.

I've always took the castl. Nut off turned it around and screwed it in till it was flush with the bolt so you don't mushroom your bolt or castle head and hit it with a hammer a few times worked every time for me..
