Engine support completed

It was not my first plan! The engine is 2 inches higher that it was set before. There 2 reasons why; the first one is to set the engine support at the same height as the frame rail, the second one is to give me more option for the steering and the suspension. The bad thing about it, a small hood scoop will be needed.

I finally used 2x1 1/8 to give me more room for the steering column.

If you look closely at the bushing, it's for the rear differential. I had the suspension energy kit with the car so I thought why not use it, it's 1'' 1/8. I was not able to use the original Maserati since one of them was broken and the cost for a replacement is more than 300.

It was not easy to move the tubing for the engine oil so I just did a small notch and use some reinforcement.

At least it hold itself.

Since the engine is 2 inches higher, I'll have to modified my frame to raise the transmission 2 inches.

It took more time than expected to do the engine support and this is why I was not able to work on the transmission. I still have a life outside this project you know...

No update for 2 weeks since I going back to work for the last time of the season. A lot of work will be done in November and December.

This is going to be crazy! Hopefully it still looks remotely as a stock miata so you can pull up beside nearly any car and just blow past!

In for updates, unfuckingreal!
