Prelude with a f22b1 Swap, Automatic to manual will not start

It will turn over, and now its grinding.
I recently was not getting any spark at all, now that i changed the internal coil and the ignition module it sounds like its grinding when it turns over. please help, everything has been tripple checked as far as grounding wires, and im out of options, im about to put a forsale sign on it for $20.

Re: Prelude with a f22b1 Swap, Automatic to manual will not start (Prelude_1992)

when the car is jacked up, there is no grinding noise, but it also feels like the motor is shifting a lot everytime it turns over.
when i let the car down, the magical grinding noise comes and the motor shifts to the drivers side when i try starting it.
im not understanding and ive searched every forum that i can possibly think of that would be related to this
i took this motor out of a working 95 accord ex. it had an f22b1 vtec
my prelude type s had the f22a1 non vtec.
i used the wiring harness from the f22b1vtec in my car.
i never had any problems like this before this happened, and i dont understand. please anyone some help would be greatly appreciated. https://honda-tech.com/zeroavatar/192549

well the grinding sounds like its comming from under the block or by the flywheel, its hard to say exactly because im baffled at what this could even be.

What did you need for the swap?

i may not have all of the specific info, but it sure as hell sound like the starter (bendix or gear in the starter) is not engaging the flywheel properly. which starter are you using? if you are using the original starter for automatic, that is your issue. the are not the same part number in my parts database for man and auto. holla back, let me know, i'll hook you up with options if need be https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

im using the five speed starter that was already on the motor that i bought, i bought an entire front clip of an accord. so you think if i change the starter, it would stop that grinding sound and the lights going from bright to dim bright to dim when it turns over?

Can you please help me with the swap? I really want to do the same swap and would like to know what I need? I have looked everywhere and there is nothing on it or about it. I have a 5th Gen Base w/ the Auto Trans and want to do the F22 conversion.
