a/c question
Just got my a/c fixed and when its running the idle dips down from normal to like 500 rpms... up and down, up and down...... when i turn a/c off, it runs normal. It seems like the engine wants to die every 2 seconds or so..... anyone know what might be wrong?
thanks!
thanks!

Re: a/c question (oohondazoo)
Doesn't sound that abnormal... Did you buy your car with the A/C not working? Someone could have adjusted your throttle cable to lower idle and now that you have A/C working again you might need to adjust your throttle to a higher idle to account for that. A/C is supposed to take a toll on your engine, and it's normal to cause idle to drop. Make sure your belts are tight, and adjust the 2 nuts on the throttle cable a little higher and your car won't idle as low when A/C is on... Might not be the end all solution if something more severe is wrong with your compressor, but it will keep your car from running like crap.
